not to be an Idiot but all those bands are thrash metal are they not? I don't know why everybody suddenly feels the need to re genre everything.. I mean Emo what is that... it's Metal.. and mostly not very good metal.. I mean dragon force please... the biggest load rubbish.. sorry about the rant but this type of thing really gets on my nerves...
so to sum up...
necro
type o negative
carnivore
6 feet under.. all thrash metal maybe touching on death metal but only slightly

in fact...
necro is a deathrap artist and all he raps about is death, rape, jefree dohmer, in fact his next album is just called die
type o negative is more gloom death goth punk band you know like "
everything dies", "
world coming down" made me cut myself multiple times ill tell ya cant get enough of it
carnivore is type o's old band,
god is dead was a good one
and 6feet under just sounds likes it should be there i think
i think deathcore means peeps that sing about death, dieing, getting raped or getting sliced open w/ knives through there ventricles but your right the 6 feet under is just another thrash metal band that makes no sense!!!

Job for a Cowboy are often considered Deathcore, I enjoyed Genesis - though arguably some feel that was the album they strayed from the genre.

heh deathcore, try Carnifex, Whitechapel, Killwhitneydead, Oceano, Winds of plague, Arsonists Get All The Girls. Deathcore is not characterized by what it is about. here is a good description of what deathcore is.
Deathcore is heavily influenced by modern death metal in its speed, heaviness, and approach to chromatic, heavily palm muted riffing and dissonance. Traditional growls, and screaming are prevalent, and sometimes yelling or shouting, common to metalcore, are included. Much of deathcore features breakdowns and melodic riffs common in metalcore.
Great stuff, i think the breakdowns make deathcore a little less repetitive than a lot of death metal bands.

here is my personal opinion.....bands like divine heresy, whitechapel, winds of plague....would even go so far as to say black dahlia murders could fit into this genre although a touch more deathy than core..
