Sorry first off not new handbrake just the same one as always forgot to take that out of the title!!!

I am trying to copy one of the movies I purchased to my HD but using either program it is scattered. When using Mac The Ripper (main feature extraction) it has a pop up that says something along the lines of the VOB has been mastered messed up intentionally so I tried the pad option and then I tried delete VOB option and I dont get the full movie either way. Also tried the full disc extraction but I can't because it says it is 52.19 GB and I dont have that much memory. When I use handbrake it starts off audio out of sync and a couple minutes into it it goes to the credits then bounces around to different parts of the movie for the rest of the time but audio is back in sync after the credits. Also in the title selection option in handbrake there is about 99 different movie length options to choose (usually only a couple to choose from on every other movie I have ever copied) from so I choose the longest one which usually is the main movie. My question is this some new type of copyright blocker and if so how do I get around this since I am just wanting to back up my original. The movie in question is Confessions Of A Shopaholic so if anyone else has had this problem with other new movies or is this the only one and how do we get around the blocker, codex or whatever ( I am not sure what you call it but thats the best way I know of how to explain it). Thanks for the help in advance!!!!!!

What you're trying to get around is called "copy protection".

Unfortunately this is the one area where a Mac can't compare to Windows.

If Mac The Ripper won't do it correctly, you can try to find your answer here, but you might just be in for a lot of frustration.

If you REALLY need a copy on your HD, your best bet is to download it, or rip it in Windows (shudder!!!).

But then again, I don't know everything. Maybe someone else has a better answer. Sorry.
