Hi all I am new to ripping DVD's to divx I use a MAC and want to start copying my DVD's to my MacBook Pro latest version

I'm not a mac user but i think that Handbrake will do a good job

You might want to read this post, it's the one right before yours as I write this.

You're embarking on a perilous quest!

The way i do it is to use MacTheRipper to rip the DVD to the HD,

I then use ffmpegX to encode it. It can be a bit tricky to install, but if I can do it anyone can.
