So, I've lurked around the Creative Souls and Photography forums for a while now, and finally decided to share a bit about myself...

I am a photography student about to finish up Community College and start working on a BFA in Photography. I shown a few of my photographs in recent shows around my area... Recently I entered two photographs in an exhibition at a local gallery and was pretty surprised and excited to win "Best of Show"

The prize is that I get my own solo exhibition at the local gallery sometime in 2010!!

So, the short of it is, that in lacking confidence I haven't shared any of my work with you guys here and I've finally decided to change that...

This is the photo that won Best of Show... It's called "Quiet" I'm open to any and all critique and would love to know what all of you think of it...

And I do promise to upload more photos soon, I'm pretty busy right now as school just got back in session and I work full time, but I find time to fool around on the net don't I? So I should be able to use some of the fooling around time to upload photos for all of you to see...



I used a Sony a100 camera with a 28-80mm(I think?) zoom lens. The photo was taken in RAW and edited in Photoshop CS3.

There's a holiday in Romania or at least in Transylvania where all of the people buy flowers, (and I mean a TON of flowers) and go to the cemetery to decorate the graves of their friends and family. I can't remember exactly what this day is called. But I found this flower on a gravestone the day after the holiday while wandering through a large cemetary in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

that is a wonderful photo...I love the way the flower looks so milky against the dark foreground.simply beautiful...and yes you should share these more with us.good luck on getting your own show
