Some guidelines:
● Hard Floppy is a place to discuss every type of electronic gizmo -- from PC hard/software to cellphones and their apps. Like the Banana Republic, each topic should have the makings of a real discussion, so simply copying every new article from a techblog won't do -- it shouldn't be a newsreel, but a proper lounge for techminded folks to discuss the impact of new stuff, write their own reviews, compare benchmarks, etc.
● Anything that is way too geeky to fit in General/Members Discussions, and that is meant to be discussed thoroughly, can be posted on Hard Floppy. That doesn't mean that every techy discussion should end up in Hard Floppy, though: if something will appeal to a broad public, it's still best to put it in General/Members Discussions.
● In order to keep the posting-threshold as low as possible for the general TechHelp forum, posts will NOT be moved from TechHelp to Hard Floppy, even if they're discussions rather than questions, so don't post "this topic should go onto Hard Floppy" anywhere -- the HardFloppy folks will know to post in here, anyway.
● Naturally, our general Community Rules and Guides also apply in here, so treat your fellow Darksiders with respect, even if you strongly disagree with them - if needed, contact a Staffer to intervene instead of escalating it by namecalling (so no calling anyone a 'fanboy').
