So many people are using multiple trackers for there torrents these days, but with a lot of them half the trackers will not be working. There are several different error messages you will see under tracker status, but it all means the same thing. you are wasting bandwidth and cpu on a tracker thats not responding. You can drop a tracker from a multitracker torrent. Heres how in utorrent.
Right click the torrent and hit Properties. when it opens the trackers will be listed in the pane at the top. they will all be highlighted. Left click on the not working one and delete it. Hit ok and thats it.

THis is what I do for a long time.but don't delete time out tracker.

you can remove Timed Out trackers if they continue to be offline for long periods, to restore all the trackers just double click the original .torrent file (or redownload)

You can also use this in reverse to add trackers.
Please remember to check the file hash though, to make sure it's the same file or it will be ruined.
