Hello rollo_69, I think you can use k9copy, or a combination of transcode, dvdauthor and Dvd:Rip (got these from google, so I didn't try it myself)

I searched and found where they said k9copy would work. I tried k9copy and couldn't get it to reduce/shrink to dvd5 size (fit on 4.7 dvd) . I currently use DeVeDe which is a front end gui for transcode and dvdauthor which does a great job for most conversions from .avi to dvd. Dvd:Rip doesn't convert different movie formats like .avi .
Thanks for the help.

Never really tried to do this on linux, i have my gaming desktop for this. Maybe you could use DVD FAB platinum with Wine?
