Reseeding the easy way -

This guide includes imaging for utorrent and Vuze (Azurues) But most torrent clients look similar.

So first you need the torrent from the original file you are wanting to re-seed. This can be found in the original release details at the site you first grabbed it if no longer on your hard drive. Also you MUST make sure that the files you are trying to re-seed are in the exact same state you originally downloaded them in, this includes content (eg txt files and nfo plus files) and file names to be as were. And slight alterations is a change to the file and it will not re-seed.

Once you have this torrent start your client up and load the torrent, either by double click or drag and drop, as the torrent starts to load you will come across a window like this -

Utorrent (1.)

Vuze (Azurues 2.)

For utorrent (1.) you then need to locate your file you are wanting to re-seed. So on the window you are looking at (fig 1) click the small button next to the top scroll bar with the three '...' in it.
Once you have clicked these you will see a box like this -
Now with utorrent you need to select the folder that contains the files. So for this example as you can see i have highlighted the 'Example' folder which is the torrent im loading and the folder that contains the files. You MUST make sure the files and folder are named the exact same as you downloaded them. Once you have selected the relevant folder then you can click on and ok on the first window also.
The torrent will then load itself and you will see this while it does -

If you arent seeing it check the file then you have selected the wrong folder... Cancel it and delete the torrent out and try again. Making sure you select the folder containing the data you want to re-seed.. If it is doing this you have done it right and evetually it will go to seeding and you are now ready to re-seed.

This part is to explain Vuze (2.) (Azurues)
Now with vuze to re-seed the file you need to choose the folder that contains the entire file/folder itself. Not the folder the files are in like utorrent. Also as above these files and folder need to be named EXACTLY as you first got them with the download. So if they were originally 'ExampleFile.ExampleReleaser' then they need to be back to that.
So the torrent im loading is for 'Example' as you can see in this image 'Example' is in the 'Desktop' folder, so that is the one i have highlighted (the desktop folder). Once the containing folder is selected you can press ok. Then when back to the first screen you can once again ok this.
After this has been done the torrent will load and start to check the file and again you will see something like this -

Once again after this has finished checking it will go to 'Seeding' which means you are then re-seeding the file you wanted to. If you dont see this above image delete and start again as you have gone wrong somewhere.

Hope this helps the understanding of re-seeding and if i can explain it better for you reply and i shall try clarify what you need.

Good one simms.
I have done that exactly as said "as I have deleted the torrent and moved the file only to find I was going to seed longer and or read that someone was requesting a seed from the same torrent, so went back and put the files back on my download drive and reloaded the torrent." all was well, also had some power failures that put the torrent into checking mode. clapping.gif
