Just came across this and thought it might be useful for those that haven't discovered it yet.
In Windows 7 under the Accessories menu there is the Snipping Tool. This allows you to draw a square or a freeform shape on your current screen and save it as an image.
Beats doing a print screen then editing out the area you need, could be useful for 'borrowing' images from other sites to use in sig making.

Yeah it took me a while to find but one day when i was bored i found it. And i was like this is awesome, i knew there was a reason i upgraded to W7!
