As a final result we'll get a small *.srt file(around 100-200KB) which would be completely optional.
Let's get started!
Note:Subtitles are stored inside the VOB files as images which are blend into the movie during playback. We use SubRip to convert these images to flat ASCII text. Subrip uses optical character recognition(OCR) to make the convertion.
Download Subrip which is a popular and free subtitle ripper. Unzip the archive and start the application(Noramally subrip_version no.exe)
A window similar to the following picture should appear.

Select the option "Open Vob(s)" from the "File" menu. The VOB dialog opens

Note:If you haven't ripped the movie to hard-disk then it would be better to do so now. Use the step1 explained in this tutorial for ripping movie to vob files.
Now let's get back to subrip(if you were busy decrypting

Click the
buttonAfter a little while, the first subtitle will appear. SubRip will then first ask you to set the proper color of the subtitle, so the OCR function will work properly. The popup window will show you the first subtitle and offers you a selection of four color combinations

For example these are wrong subtitle colors

And this one is the proper subtitle color.

Select the proper subtitle color to make the Optical character recognition work fine. To continue hit OK
Then, The OCR will ask you to type each character it finds once in order to "learn". So during the process, for each newly found character, SubRip will ask you to type it. In the following image subrip was unable to recognize the letter 'J' correctly. So, type 'J' in the text box and hit OK or the 'Enter' key.

Click the highlighted(rounded with red circle in the image below) button to make subtitles text window visible if it isn't visible.

In the subtitles text window click Save as in the File menu

You can save as a *.txt file or a *.srt file. I prefer *.srt file for it's very popular and compact.
Select an appropriate name and click save(eg:Rasa.srt).

If you want to use any other format Select Select output format in the Output format menu in the Subtitles text window. A new window popups and you are free to convert subtitles to custom formats.

That's all friends...
