I have my thinkpad t40 finally set up with ubuntu 9.10. everything works fine except for trying to use flash applications on the web? Does anyone know if it is because of the mobility radeon 7500 video card? Also does anyone know of any vlc tweaks to offset some of the processing from the cpu to the gpu? Or is this even possible?

try checking to see if flash is installed.
click System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

under "quick search" type "flashplugin"
look at "flahsplugin-nonfree"

install, or reinstall, if needed.

it's installed. Flash has always been troublesome for this machine. I was just wondering if flash can be offloaded to the gpu or shared with the cpu. But I believe flash is cpu dependent.
