I just got dragon age and it is pretty good the story is massive with loads of different choices, beginnings, endings and side quests. It has great gameplay which lets you just walk into a battle and fight straight away or pause the game and choose what each character is going to do, it also has battle tactics and lots of spells and abilities. Thought id let you guys no... biggrin.gif

I'm curious Hash, what didn't impress you? I can understand that the graphics were a little understated.

It wasn't the graphics, they were fine. It wasn't the voice acting or script, both were excellent. The story and gameplay were ok too. I'm not actually sure what it was to be honest. It just didn't grow on me like I thought it would. I've been playing Mass Effect (hoping it would be like kotor) lately and that one isn't hooking me like I thought either. I guess I'm just hard to please or something dntknw.gif

You certainly seem fussy Hash smile3.gif

I understand what you mean about Mass Effect, I've been replaying it ready for the sequel and I find myself bored more than anything. There is something about that game that just doesn't seem to work (mostly the side missions.) Here's hoping the sequel is more compelling. drinks.gif

I'll be honest, i'm the same wth Oblivion. I don't know why it is, but I can't seem to get into it.

At the risk of kicking in an open door ShutUp.gif -> As they're role-playing games, maybe some roles just aren't as appealing, no matter how well they're presented? unsure.gif

Dragon age:Awakening is due out a week today (the 16th). I'm looking forward to it, but right now I'm in the middle of my second play-through of the original. I love this game.

Thought the game to be very good, especially the part in the dwarves underground cities and roadway's but thought the ending battle was a little too easy.I.M.H.O

I'm in the middle of playing it right now and for the most part I love it! The characters are great. I love the depth to the story and mythology. I'll definitely have to play it through again just to see the parts of the story and different quests that I am missing...

The only critique I have is that it seems that the combat gets a little too easy. I'm hooked on the story so I'll keep playing but after getting a couple of specializations and good eq, it seems like I could do the combat on autopilot in my sleep.

I agree with Hashishin666, yes its ok, but it' not my sorta game biggrin.gif lol
