Hello,

I have a friend whos Macbook Pro crashed the other day and I need to know of a good data recovery program. I'm trying to recover photos and videos.

I have been looking at diskwarrior but I want to get some input from others who know more about mac's.

Disk Warrior isn't a data recovery program, it's a directory repair program. If the problem with your friend's computer has to do with the directory, Disk Warrior might be able to fix it so his computer runs like new again without the need to recover anything.

If the drive is trashed, however, try Data Rescue 3.

r-tools r-studio has a version of their software designed for mac's filesystem, and mac OS: http://www.data-recovery-macintosh.com/

i'm sure that you or groon can produce a copy, otherwise i might have something hidden as well, r-tools has a steep learning curve, but the quality is top-notch

Thanks Mazuki for the recommendation. I'm thinking that I will try out what Groon mentioned just because I don't have the time right now to learn r-tools but I'm still going to try and find r-tools for late.
