For some reason my deluge bittorrent client refuses to open. I've removed and reinstalled the application with no go. here in what comes from the terminal when I try to open deluge:

Hi first what distribution are you using?
Second did you get the package from deluge webpage or your distro?
In what format? I normally use the pakage from the website and run it.
I use .deb because I only use Debian and Ubuntu, if you are using redhat or fedora then use yum or rpm.
They work well.

How did you remove it?

I also have had trouble using deluge in ubuntu 9.10
[from distro source]
not certain what is causing it
in my case it might be that I also run
flush & qbittorrent
I worked with some people who
like code puzzles, they are still trying to figure it out
I suspect [hope] that upgraging to 10.4 will fix this
but not in a hurry as everything else is working well
