there must be at least one game or type of game that you hate, for me, i hate ALL football related games, there crap!

Some games combine elements of different genres so it's not that easy to actually hate every game of a particular type, but I'll put down Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games (also known as 'tactical shooters'). I'm talking about the pure RTS where you have to put markers on map first to tell your bot coplayers where to go & get killed, and then you get to test that strategy for 2 seconds of FPS action before having to adjust the markers for the twentieth time and try again. Usually, every mission is about rescuing another batch of dimwitted hostages

I think it was either the SWAT series or the Rainbow Six series that made me hate this type of game. There are FPS games that have RTS elements to them (basically any shooter with a map offers premeditated routes), and online multiplayer also has tactical gameplay, but I'm talking about the pure stuff only. Basically, any action game where you're not directly mowing foes down yourself but have to place markers on a map to make your character do something, ...suck hard!

You must be playing them wrong mate, SWAT 4 was a great game (PC version)

I agree on S.W.A.T 4 m8 great game it is, im still playing it every now and then. Cant think of any game i hate really but if hate also means very hard to finish then G.R.A.W. 2 is one of them...

well i dont tink i really hate any game, but there are some that i very strongly dislike(d). ps1 kingsfield was terrible. pc sins of a solor empire was kind of a disapointment. it could have been a great game but lacked playability.

To add to that list theres CoD5 and yea i can agree with BiHgamer, Prototype sucked horribly...

On the subject of blasphemy, Halo 3 was a huge disappointment. But i'm of the opinion that Combat Evolved should be remade every ten years for the benefit of mankind

Agreed, CoD and Halo are better shooters, but GoW is not a poor game. Not too difficult, but challenging. Difficult to get lost though

Ah, Halo -- thanks for reminding me! I need to get my hands on Halo2 again: now that I'm on Windows7 instead of XP, I can give it another shot.

Hopefully, the keyboard layout won't be too bad as I seem to remember the keys couldn't be customized. Any game that doesn't let you set custom keys, is pure evil for me. Blur lets you pick from 2 layouts, but at least the keys they picked are half-decent.

Could you not get a pad? Or are you not a fan of pads on PCs?

I like the keys+trackball combination for shooters better, tbh. Besides, I'd have to buy it just for one game so that seems a bit excessive anyhow, especially when I feel strongly about every game having free choice of keymapping

Actually, I can't remember ever playing a 3D game with a pad: it's only been 2D scrolling games or similar. I haven't touched a pad in more than a decade anyway

Fair enough. I am terrible at FPS's now having not played one properly on PC since the days of UT (and I wasn't much good at that!), and I rarely play any games on PC at all tbh, apart from Football Manager. I suppose that's what I get for buying consoles. Having said that, Halo CE and Halo 2 are worth buying an old Xbox for, even after the Halo 2 online has now been shut down

I'll post a pic sometime, to show the little modifications I've done to my Trackman MarbleFX trackball over the years, to keep it clicking perfectly. It's better now than when it was new, I dare say, though Logitech refuses to support it in newer drivers so I can no longer assign a function to the fourth button. If you look on Google, you'll see blogs and forums filled with people who love this model and it's really unbelievable how Logitech & other companies have only come out with lesser designs and keep ignoring so many folks.

I hate WOW! It is the same over and over again. Kill a 100 pipsqueeks, find 200 leftballs of a bull.... pff frustrating!! I cant believe you can be addicted to that game. I tried it and was done after lvl 18. Same over and over again.

The last few guys put up one hell of a fight though, Linky-1 and finally. It was sad to see it go..

Anywho I cant stand resistance..I loved GoW but for some reason i cant stand Resistance...

I don't really hate any games, but if I had to pick one it would be sports games... Not because they are boring ( I like to play them), but you essentially pay to have an updated roster.. 60 dollars (USD) for a updated roster? I feel they are ripping people off, if they could just push roster updates out for a small fee with graphical updates that would be better!

Yes, i also hate WoW,... and after you turn your quest into the quest giver in a major city you get to endure all the anal [Insert Your Linked Talent Here] jokes from all the godamn 12 year olds running around in their epic top tier gear cuz blizzard gives it away now, and listen to all their bragging about how bad ass they are and all that...Blizzard would rather cater to the 12 year olds and make the game easy mode instead of keeping their high end players around by maintaining the integrity of the game.

I also hate Starcraft 2 because after waiting for 18 years from when starcraft 1 came out, they only gave us 25 lame ass levels of only Terran campaigns with Zerg and Protoss campaigns being released a few years from now only to give us another few lame ass campaigns and if you havent been playing Starcraft 1 head to head online for the last 18 years and arent using hacks you get totally owned within the first 20 seconds in pvp.

And Jesus Christ, when the hell is blizzard going to release Diablo 3? they announced in 2008 blizzcon that it was in the works...2012 is the projected date.

I hate games that have crappy camera angle or presets. Ones that go all over the joint- e.g Just Cause 1. When you have your parachute deployed it goes everywhere. A game that i hate would have to be all the NFS's. Never liked them.

Personally, I'm not a fan of an rpg that doesn't bring anything to the table. I've been playing suikoden because "its a fresh game with 108 characters" and really, I kinda wanna kill myself. It better get better quick XD.

I'm also not fond of games that aren't good at what they are. Earth defense force 2017 was amazing because you didn't want anything from it, you were just playing a good ol' fashion bug fighter. Meanwhile, Bionic commander fails as a shooter and a spider man clone.

And almost every MMO aside from Ragnarok online, and Tabula Rasa XD.

I didn't know they still made Nascar racing games Nascar2011 is only for consoles it seems, but I can remember playing a lot of Nascar Racing (1995) -- that game really pushed hardware requirements back then and it looked great for its day. The turning left bit did kinda suck but the crashes and highspeed tracks were still fun
