welcome2ds.gif Greets fellow Darkside gamers,

I would like to have a minute of silence as yet a legend has passed away. Yes The command and Conquer can be called officialy dead! We thought that Red Alert 3 was the end, but we still had faith in C&C. But turned out to be even worse.

Here are my critics :

1. The graphics are worse the Red Alert 3. I have the idear im playing with Duplo models.
2. Unit cap. The enemy always has more units then you have.
3. No base building
4. THis stupid category of attack, support and defense. They suck when seperated.

Also the missions are complete crap. Everytime you have to capure some node and that's it.You don't even use a engineer anymore to capture a building. All units can.

I don't know what you think fellow darksider but i think this was really the killing blow. A other thing i think is really lame from Ea is the so called free editions for the aniversary. You could download Tiberium Sun. The version i got was a a rip from the first decade. When unrared the whole First decade structure was there. Was it too hard to create a nice installer, adapt it to a newer version of windows...What kind of a lame company is this????? scare.gif

Also of note a trial run for EA's new DRM scheme requiring an internet connection at all times for offline play. Not just on start up mind you, but the whole time unsure.gif

No base building? but but, its a command and conquer game? I admit I have not played a Command & Conquer game in quite some time as the series has been going down hill for a while now...

Sounds like a compliment to me, because Duplo is awesome a022.gif

Well if you want to play with Duplo then yes it's great. Not when you want to play a nice RTS. I also noticed a other thing!!

ATTENTION SPOILER!

"The ending when playing with NOD is the same as the ending of the N64 version. Only they made it as a movie this time. Could they become a bit more lamer?"

Nah, this was not the end the Command and Conquer series deserved.

I just uninstalled C&C4 after having it on my PC for all of 12 hours and playing it twice. I can cope with the graphics, they've never really been all that important to me. Gameplay however, is. The offense/defense/support idea was novel and may have been nice if it had been implemented properly. But the lack of a base and the (ridiculously low) unit cap made it nothing more than a joke. If EA set out to completely ruin what was one of the most respected names in computer games (Command & Conquer) then they have succeeded greatly.

EA... I didn't think it possible, but hate you even more now. *String of swear words and horribly rude names*
