This is not intended to start any kind of flame war. Nor is it intended to discredit anyone's beliefs or opinions.
Let me start by saying that I am a religious person, and I do believe in God. I always hear people say that there is no such thing as God, and that religion is a waste of time. So I pose the question, Why should I not believe in God. That being said, I know a lot of you will say, that's easy, just look at the state of the world. But I ask you, is that Gods' fault, or is that man's fault. We were given free will, and the last time I checked, I didn't see bullets raining down from the sky, or packages of drugs free falling from the clouds...etc. And if there is no God, then why do so many people, from different walks of life, in different parts of the world, all have the same theory of believing in some form of a God or a higher power? And this theory has been around for thousands and thousands of years. For me (being from America), our very own country is based off of religion. I mean the laws that govern us are based off of the Ten Commandments. The calendars we use everyday or based off of biblical dates. And is it an accident that the very monies that we carry around with us has "In God We Trust" written on it. Am I supposed to believe that this was some kind of fancy slogan some one came up with hundreds of years ago??
Please, Please, Please, keep this friendly and intelligent........
Happy Easter to those that do believe. Happy Sunday or Monday for those of you that don't
