Hola Amigos! devileek.gif
Soo...while I've been away I've been learning some animation and new things with graphics but I need a little help maybe someone has the answer to!

Here is an example:
I created a nice animation inside After Effects and it comes out flawlessly when I render it in AVI format
Take a looky here: Click Me! (3MB Download)

But if I render it straight into a GIF to use as an avatar on sites I get...

Any ideas on how I could get it crystal clear? unsure.gif

Big thanks for any help that can "fix" my problem a013.gif

Wow.....here's me thinking U did a Stella advert.... biggrin.gif

Then I sobered up and DL the RAR file...Well...Its short Phoenix, but 100 times better than I could do....looks like you're set on the right lines...I'm waiting for the next, hopefully longer, project...But still, very impressive.....Although I'm beginning to hate you smart arse's.. biggrin.gif

I think that even if you cut down the number of frames, the gif will still be pixelated and unfortunately, it's still way too big to use as an avatar on forums

the downloaded one is tight as hell, although on VLC it looks different than MPC.

i do animations, but i just mess around with the settings until the gif comes out right...in photoshop you have to click save for web or devices

sorry thats all i know

Hey guys devileek.gif

Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated

@ELCANGRI - I'll definitely take a look into it now drinks.gif

I have managed to get animations rendered a lot better and the quality isn't too bad either
eg. Click Me a013.gif

Still working and improving. Hopefully I can start pumping out avatars for requests and what not and get back into the whole flow of things drinks.gif

great work u've got there, like the rain and lightning biggrin.gif

awesome animation there with the lightning... just a tip regarding animated gifs, you will get much better quality versus compression if the overall set of colors is low to start with... meaning don't create an animation with thousands or millions of colors and then expect it to look great in 256 or less colors. And regarding forum avatars (120kb max here) it is not often that an animation will contain more than 64 colors, and you should always try to remove as many redundant frames as possible. Of course, more frames makes a more fluid animation, but if file size is an issue, remove frames before removing colors. But start with a reduced color palette, and you can achieve better quality and have a higher number of frames like I was able to do with the example below...

can't wait to see what you are able to come up with!

nice animation there jason biggrin.gif
