truly a great series... i really enjoyed it...

Hey, well I love Naruto thats a GREAT series along with Avatar. Bleach also caught my interest but never really got far with.

If you enjoy anime; i would suggest shaman king or perhaps full metal alchemist.. naruto and bleach are of course a must see!!

Firstly, Avatar, The Last Airbender is not anime in the North American sense. Even the creators of it explicitly say so in the interview on one of the discs.

Other than that, I think it is a very good cartoon. The cast in it was great as well. It includes Mark Hamill, Mako (for the first two seasons), Ed Asner, Dante Basco, and Rene Auberjonois to name a few. It also has a good storyline and when it was on TV, they were smart enough to show the season finales as extra long episodes instead of breaking them up.

Yeah just like you said. I watched it though, did not like to admit it for that very reason. Guess it didnt matter in the end, since they made it into a live action movie which was horrible. I don't really care for anime besides Full Metal Alchemist or Dragon Ball/DBZ. But yeah I would recommend FMA, DBZ, Dragon Ball.

yupe, I've also watched all Avatar series and its a very good story line
well, its difficult to say which animation to watch next (other than Japanese Anime)....
I was thinking of that "De Gata" thing...

Anyway, for me, beside japan's anime, Avatar the last air bender series are the great and successful non-japanese animation.

loved the television series 'The Last Airbender' - started watching it when it first aired and loved every episode. dl'd the whole series from some one here and still watch it! And yes, the movie did not live up to the series -- but maybe as they go along, it will get better.

ya i love it as well, i guess theres not much of a story now that Aang and Zuko became friends eh... and joined forces... well they probably could of been something, but it wouldnt of been as good... the story was in the chase... and now that the chase was over, the story is over...
i didnt mean another anime series per say... i ment another animated series... any cartoon series at all... or movie...
some of the studio ghibli movies might fall in this category... i know that avatar was such a unique series, but you ppl must watch something else as well ;)

I just finished watching this, again and I have to say it is one of, if not, the best cartoons put out in the last decade.
