So if your like me, your loving all the h264 flicks we have access too here at darkside. But if your main source of watching these videos are through your Xbox 360, then chances are you have run into the non existent support for 5.1(6 channel) audio. Fortunately most of the flicks offered come with not only the 5.1 audio track, but also a 2 channel audio track just for us. The problem I was having is that the solution explained in the download folder of the movie to remove the 5.1 track and just use the 2 channel track is solely for Windows machines. This was quite frustrating as I only have a mac at my disposal, so I did a little hunting around and found this little gem.

http://code.google.com/p/subler/

it works great other then the fact that you cant tell the bit-rate for the audio tracks(i.e. which audio track is the 5.1 and which is the 2 channel). What I did was duplicate my movie, then open up the duplicate in Subler. Then just delete one of the audio tracks, (I have had good luck deleting the first audio track in the list). Then just make sure that the text track is disabled (i think this is added from Subler for subtitles), and save it. Once its saved you can check to see if you have deleted the correct track by option-clicking on the movie file and go to Get Info. If it says 2 next to channels then you have succeeded. If it still says 6, then delete you duplicate and start over but delete the other audio track this time. Its a 50-50 chance that you will get it right so it should never take you more then 2 try's. Anyway I just thought I share my find with fellow darksider's. Ez.
