I had one earlier tonight in GTA4-TheBalladOfGayTony -(great game, btw)-- I'm driving along in my automobile, when I suddenly spot an extremely rare SuperGT driving past, so I obviously hijack it and drive it to my garage so I can keep it for later. Naturally, when you're driving a particular type of car, the game has a tendency to use more of that type, so I drive around a bit and manage to put another two in a garage whilst I go look for a fourth.

However, my theft of the fourth one happens to be spotted by a wandering cop and before I know it, things have escalated into a serious 4-star policehunt, ending tragically when I'm riotgunned by one of the pigs -- that set me off into a rage and then turned into a nerd rage when I saw that the game does not store garaged vehicles if you happen to die before you've fully saved the game! Waaaarrrrggghhhh!!!!

not quite the same as yours adl, but it cheeses me right off when you look for a film for ages,and finally find what you think is a good copy, download it to find that it tells you that you need a certain type of player to watch it.
what is the point??
all that effort wasted, just to upload a trailer. downloaded the same film five times now and all have the same thing.
now am losing me marbles. will now wait till it is out on my beloved home site, where i can trust the releases.

Happens to me all the time ADL.

My worst nerd rage would be in PAC Man, you have no idea how hard it is to get all those white dots. So i was just pickn up all the dots and i had them all gone excpet for the at the very oposite corner of where i was. And those colorful monsters were just circling it. So how was i gonna get at it?!

My last nerd rage was just a couple of hours ago. Playing a match on Football manager 2010 against a team I should have thrashed. I was down 1-0 at half time and let my team know I was unhappy. By full time the score was 3-1. If I could have thrown a boot at someone's head (Ala Alex Ferguson), I would have done.

Uhhh by the way, i pretty much know that if VLC cant play it pretty much nothing will so those are just scams man, never trust them! seriously just take the 10mins to read the comments its worth so much more,

Now as for my Nerdy Rage moment. I was playing Sins of a solar empire and the AI came at me on easy with wave after wave and i couldnt even start to do anything cause i got pulverized so friggin quickly which pissed me off cause i spent 2 hours trying to defend ( now i play on hard and they suck my popsicle xD)....

Just to put my post in perspective: I got a SuperGT on the very next session -- it turns out that the cars that were rare in the original GTA4, are pretty common in the Gay Tony addon. Which, might I add, is an excellent addon and definitely worth getting

my last nerd rage was over dawn being vaporware. actually, come to think of it, that was years ago. happy i stay pretty calm ;P

When JJ Abrams decided not to put shatner in the movie star trek even thoa he made the movie in a different timeline where shatner could still be in.

Sometimes when a game is frustrating I try explaining to my monitor that I am not having fun and it should change the dynamics of the game

Phrases such as :

-"This is not fun. I am not having fun right now"

-"Why is this is the game, why would you put this in this game?"
-
"I'm just holding down the button until the section is over. I'm not enjoying this at all. When will this section be over? You happy game? I am not even playing this section, so YEAH!"

I remember when Half Life 2 came out. For whatever reason I absolutely hated Ravenhome. This was almost universally recognized as the best part of the game, yet I hated that section the first couple of times I played threw the game. When I would come to raven home, I would just run to the end as quick as possible telling my monitor I hated this section . It had to do with those poisonous head grab things. I hate them so much. The sound they make, the way they make my screen flash. If I came to more then 3 of them in five minuets I would stop playing the game. I hated them so much it was almost game breaking.

Since a few more plays of the game I can enjoy those sections now, but I still find them terribly annoying

My last true nerd rage was when playing a very old game called. Start Trek Ds9 Harbinger. I finally found a copy of this old Dos game and wanted to relive some childhood memories. Turns out it sucks. I never beat it when I was a kid. I would always play it up to a level where I had to balance walk over some beams over a large drop. I made it to this section again. Only to find myself again perplexed at how horribly awesome this section was.

After trying and yelling I couldnt do it. Over the next few days I tried again and again. Eventually I got so fed up I decided to do the save every 2 second walk. "Screw this level" I said. Step 1 step forward Save. Next step, save, step, save, step, save. I hate this level so much. I am not enjoying this. Is this what the game wants? Step and save. Fine.

Naturally after a lot of rage quits and saves, I save in a point that is a dead end and instant death I very quietly closed the game, with a straight face moved my mouse over the game folder, deleted it. Maybe in a few more years I might give it another try

I've also screwed myself over by "panic saving" on many many occasions.

Timeline:

• Encounter terribly difficult section in a game (Such as the "on rails in a vehicle" parts of Medal of honor allied assault & spearhead)
• "Oh my god! I've got past it."
• Hit f5
• Briefly celebrate and enjoy the warm feeling inside
• Notice the thin sliver of life left
• Curse
• Die in the next second
• Warm feeling is replaced by red hot anger when you remember that you haven't done anything but quicksave since starting to play the game. You're now stuck here
• Curse more
• Quit the game after several attempts at surviving

Playing StreetfighterII on my C64...after waiting 10 minutes for it to load and just getting started some dork with no suppressor on his heap of junk drives past

Has to be when I bought 1 of the map packs for COD MW2. I mean you buy a NEW game so they can re-sell you the old maps from the last game that you already have!! Yeah why didn't I think of that next time I do a PC build for someone I'll just dust there old one of and charge them for the pleasure

hmmm I'm kinda passive agressive so dont rage a lot,still I recall a few times....in The Witcher I had a nice winning streake in dice poker,than I got too confident n started losin lol,after I lost tons of gold I freaked totally owt,was 5 secs away from brakin the keyboard.....

Last major nerd rage was on the Halo reach online Beta. Firstly because it sucked major balls due to poor weapons (imo) and secondly cos I kept dying. Like, all the time

I have recently been raging in the nerd fashion about need for speed world. People with no skill ram you into walls.

Was on the IGN gaming website when i read an article about Sony releasing Playstation Move,i had a Wii at the time and it enraged me so much i sent in a message saying - "Sony....Go SHOOT YOURSELF IN THE F****** FACE!"

I should be in control of my emotions at my age,not my finest house but definately 'Nerdy'
