wow all very nice, my sig is sick by the way
nice work blue
I agree I like the sig you made for TerraPunksQUOTE
Thats the All Spark from the movie. I might pull it out.
no don't pull it out... just figure out a different way to blend it into the sig without drawing too much attention to it... make sure the focus is on the focal. That's the whole point. Your main render is your focal.
Your background needs to blend with the focal without drawing too much attention to itself... the text needs to be readable but not be the first thing the eye sees. Catch my drift? Not that I necessarily follow the rules all the time... perhaps copy the All Spark layer and Gaussian blur (12px) the lower layer of the All Spark... then set the blending mode of the top layer to Overlay at ~75% Opacity... just a guess off the top of my head... don't know what it would actually look like after that.

Depending on the background you can try other blending modes like Color Burn and Color Dodge... just go through them all and see what looks best... that's what I do!
sorry it took so long for me to reply here... your work is rather impressive so far... you will be teaching others techniques soon... including me! You have great potential! What I'd like to give you in the form of advice regarding your sigs with the "outside-the-box" look to them... remember... just my thoughts... either have the top or bottom extrude from the border of the sig... not
example 1: my own sig...

notice how I only have the bottom coming out of the rectangle that most would assume is the "border" of the sig. The top of his head I let be cut off, though that part I could have let come out but liked it better in... but I masked the stomach and right arm below the border and was careful not to mask any of the shield or hand. This increases the depth of the render and creates an effect of Capt. America reaching out of the sig. The shield is closest to the viewer in the render so that is the part I chose to protrude from the sig's "border"... here's another example...

here the fist is protruding towards the viewer so I had that escape the border of the signature... the foot I masked at the bottom to make it appear inside the border... then added some lightning/C4D effects around the fist to make it seem as if it were busting out magically or something... trust me it was just experimenting on my part... you will find you own style the same way. Sure, try some tutorials, but the best thing you can do to find yourself in Photoshop is experiment and LEARN the tools. Really. Learn the tools... what they do and how they can help you accomplish the vision you have for your signature. I am still learning different techniques and am impressed and inspired by others' artwork... that includes yours!
Keep it up! I want to see something from you in the SOTW Competitions too!
