So went to go see this tonight... as it turns out where we went the 10:15 show on a monday night provided a splendid private viewing.

But couldn't help to scoff a bit at some of the plot and sequences. Like the D-Day scene, in reverse with the French landing on Britain, but really... they totally ripped it off, even using the Higgins boats idea.

Imagine this, in wood, with rowers....

What a ridiculous movie.

Yes, but was it as silly as this Robin Hood movie? About the only good thing I remember about it is that it served as the source for this joke (@ 1:10).

Is this about the Scottish/Irish Russell Crowe version? Does he actually have an accent in the movie, because professional film-critics are definitely not top of my list for judging a movie accurately ShutUp.gif

His accent was supposed to me a Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire accent. It was close too.

Just saw the movie and yes it was totally a D-Day rip off on the boats. Now that truly is a crock! Also was in London in April -- and of all the literature I picked up, nothing told the story as this one did! OMG! Are they making stuff up as they go. King Richard came home from the Crusades - alive, not just his crown - and overthrew his brother who had over taken The Tower of London from Longchamp. John begged for Richard's forgiveness before he exiled him until his death, when John was named as his successor. And Robin and his merry men -- well they say the legend is true because of the unrest caused by John's reign while his brother was on the Crusades ... so I'll go with the old Errol Flynn version. It's more fun and sticks to the basic truth.

And I loved London! It was my second visit and this one was even better than the first. The people were wonderful, food, great and the sites, even more amazing the second time around!
