I've just recently watched the Death Note series and think it's one of the most unique and interesting anime that I've ever seen.
It's a bit more involved than the usual “Shonen Jump” stuff, which is generally fast paced action with underdog heroes.
I haven't reviewed it as it would give too much away.

A very-very-very complicated series..... Some say it was a battle between geniuses.... you'll see...

It's definitely one of my favourite Anime's but I did think it run out of steam a little towards the end.

Ranks right up there as one of the most interesting, The live action movies are great though, seriously legendary .

Death Note is definently worth a watch...even a 2nd and 3rd time to me lol, just too understand it
the plot is well thought out,the characters were interesting too say the least and one hell of a complex plot.
Really good anime in my opinion

Death Note deals a lot with human psychology. It talks about the paradox of the humanity ideology. Questions like killing bad people, a crime or not? and a bunch of questions that follow up. Thoughts that we always avoid to think about and complicated ideas which end up like the chicken or the egg first?? If you want some serious stuff and deep human psychology, you must watch this.

Yeah i agree, it does make you think one hell of a lot, well worth watching, and as has already been said check out the live actions as well, really really good films.

Is it worth watching and Downloading for that matters ?

Same here! If I download every anime that I watch pff I need a hell of big hard drive. But it is a must see anime if you like anime.

Im on episode 32 right now and so far i have no complaints. its well written and it keeps me coming back for more. the theme song with the metal band is awesome, and there arent many of those gay moments that so often plague jap anime.

I had to download this one, It's one of my favorites and sits pride of place on my HDD!

Its just such an interesting watch, the concept is fractionating, what would you do if you could kill anyone at will and the odds of you being caught were near zero? It raises some really interesting questions about morality and the nature of criminality.

I am not normally into anime but this sounds very interesting. Was just about to download this from here and I read its in Japanese. Any ideas where I could find it in English.
