I figure you don't know much about web design hence your question but if you login to IP Board and email Olivier Turbis he'll help you out.
If not just edit your templates and CSS files. You can teach yourself it's not hard. Just use Dreamweaver and google anything you aren't sure about.

Not everyone does know much about web design, mate. So perhaps you could assist the member and offer him a more in-depth insight, into what he might need to do to convert the skin.

The main change with IPB3 skinning is the default skin uses less templates so it's easier to customise and all you need to know is basic xhtml and CSS although you don't have to comply with xhtml.
Here are some resources to get you started.

Thanx, mate. I'm a novice in this department, so your help has been a help to me, aswell.

It's probably better you've gone with a later version, just to keep up with the trends. These things do take time but the end product is always worth the wait usually.
