Hi levelah devileek.gif

The opening battle in StarWars3-Revenge Of The Sith must be amazing in HD on a big screen smile3.gif

Avatar in 1080p looks pretty damn epic too actually. Can't think of any others right now unsure.gif

Avatar is by far the current best looking Blu-Ray disc available on the market. The first 5 minutes of The Dark Knight which was filmed with IMAX cameras show impressive depth and picture clarity.

I would recommend the website http://www.blu-ray.com/ as a good source of Blu-Ray quality reviews. Great website to check before a purchase.

If you have the money to have a TV that can truly show the clarity differences between 720 to 1080 (generally 40+ inches for 1080/29p with a good contrast and black levels) all movies will be a pleasure to re-watch on Blu-Ray. I like the Blu-Ray review website as there can be significant transfer variants between releases of film. Example being the two versions of Terminator 2, and Predator on the market ShutUp.gif

thanks guys, i have a 22inch although small it is able to display 1920x1080. do you recommend watching 1080p or just 720p as the screen is quite small i wouldnt really get the full benefit in detail watching 1080p content?

You say your small screen means you may not truly be able to appreciate 1080p, if its a cost(for blurays) or hd storage space issue 720p would be the choice but 1080p will always be a better picture.
A 1080p screen has physically got the pixels, to view 720p means the up-scaling technology with in the screen will be used to fill the unassigned pixels and the difference between 720p and 1080p is over 5 Mega pixels, that's a lot of filler!

That said i have enjoyed both on my 37" 1080p screen with only occasionally noticing the difference as both are far superior than Standard definition.

I really enjoyed the fifth element in 720p and the matrix trilogy in 1080p.

i will be sure to check them out dude thanks, and storage space is not a major issue for me but an issue non the less, some 720p movies i have are 8gb and i have 1080p movies of the same filesize. i just dont appriciate 1080p's that are 15gid and over, this is just overkill in my opinion.
