i was born in 1980, so i missed this decade completly... i saw a few movies from the 70s... but i know theres alot of great movies from this decade...
ive seen movies like rosemary' s baby (i jus read thats from 68), Deliverance. Straw Dogs,
but i know theres sooooooooo much im missing... (not to mention comedy, and other types of movies) any movies that i can actually find to download and are decent to watch would be good suggestion...

And others I like:
Catch-22, A Clockwork Orange, All the President's Men, The Andromeda Strain, Capricorn One, Vanishing Point, Chinatown, Apocalypse Now, The Shining, Alien , and plenty more

IMDb lets you search by year I would look for older big name actors that you like and check out their 1970s movies, as it's likely that they made their best in that era

M*A*S*H, Midnight Cowboy (Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight), Serpico (Al Pacino), Being There (Peter Sellers), Deer Hunter (Powerful movie staring Al Pacino, Meryl Streep amongst others)

One of my favorite movies of all time is from 1977. Slapshot is a great comedy imo and if you like guys getting hit with sticks you'll prob like this one too.
