did u right click the nfo file and open with notepad or word or similar program?

Right click>open with>notepad.
So exactly what hellzs33d said.
Or did you try that but the nfo is corrupt?

By default, .nfo files are set to open with one of Windows' own programs (which causes an error in that program) so you have to open them in Notepad or use the 'Open With' option when rightclicking on the .nfo file -- like hellzs33d & st4lk3r explained

I use
DAMN NFO Viewer..
Generally easier to read than notepad. And it's freeware.

I use Photoshop CS5 to view nfos. That way the ascii comes out in color with superb rendering :)

as explained above.. it's a lot easier to 'Always Open With' Note Pad
esp if your using someone elses computer!
