Hey gang I just watched this flick and I must say that with the cast involved in this movie I was a little disappointed.
izzy eckislike

aldred27

jblade

mmm i must wait for a good release of it :(

started to watch it last night ended up turning it off, i was a bit tired but if it had really got me interested i would of made the effort to stay up, dont know if i can be bothered watching the end
rabnbeinn
yeah, I watched it the other as a TS and I have to agree. May be a tad better when I see a rip of it but for the amount of well known names in it I was expecting more. Arnie must be in it for all of 2mins and Sly looks wells past it (he is a man that does not age gracefully lol)

A decent actionmovie, just decent. With all them big star names they could have done so much more. Mickey Rourke also appeared for about 2 minutes :(

I'm starting to surmise that movies with so many big name actors arent as good as they look.
This movie was one example, another would be "Valentines Day" so much "star power" that I personaly think "damn this movie has to be good" and I end up disappointed.

Maybe I shouldn't expect too much no matter who is in it.

Big let down for me , only watched about 45 mins of it then had to turn it off....

Same here. When I saw the cast I thought about all the fantastic movies of the past with mass star casts like The longest day and I hoped this might live up to my high hopes. Unfortunately it didn't. And yes, Stallone does look too old to be doing action movies. He can't run any more, just lope like we all will as we get old.

Maybe its because I wasn't expecting much but I liked the movie. It was just a typical action movie. I don't know what others were expecting but I thought it was pretty good nothing spectacular but worth a watch. Well except for Stallone but I never was a fan of his. I thought the other actors were believable and Stallone's truck in the movie was ridicules. I think if they had swapped Bruce Willis's role with Stallone's it would have been alot better but still I have seen much worse movies like almost all of Stallone's movies. ShutUp.gif

^^^ Agreed... I liked it as I wasn't expecting much more so I wasn't disappointed... Slightly surreal to see Willis, Stallone & Arnie in the same room... a few little subconscious jibes at each other then Willis & Stallone taking the p*** out of Arnie.. " He wants to be President..!!" Hahaha... grin.gif

I too enjoyed it but then in my opinion of all the movie stars only 2 of them can actually act(mickey rouke.bruce willis) and even they arent exactly Lawrence Olivier. its action pure and simple expect explosions some cool fight scenes and a load of one liners and you wont be disappointed expect oscar winning performances and story lines and you will.
ELCANGRI
an old school movie grin.gif I like it yes.gif
PYROiNATOR
I liked it only for the action, everything else was bad.
TerraPunks
I thought it was pretty good but a little hard to follow and understand

The fighting/combat was awesome, unusual kinda story though ... i thought it was alright agree.gif
genryuusai
the movie suck.
with so many famous action actors on the movie, i expect better actions.
but the scenes just bad.
Anteros
Awww... come on! I loved it! It was "Commando" on steroids. cool.gif

I've already posted - but seeing as Stallone helped write the screenplay, directed & produced it - I'm pretty sure he pulled in a few favours for casting... It's a bloke movie.. No more - no less... There was never going to be an in-depth subliminal reason to his exercise...

This movie gave a pretty big hype, and I thought holy crap this is awesome. Then i watched it, ya not as good as it should have been.
The plot was good, just lacked interest, and the fact that it was centered around Sylvester Stallone (yes i know he directed it but still)
made me want to turn it off, i mean dont get me wrong Sylvester Stallone is a great actor, however so is the rest of the cast and they
really didn't get the chance to stand out.. I found a lot of them looked at one another during the movie like they didn't know who should
be the bad ass in this scene. In the end it was an action, explosive movie that didn't live up to their hype, but then again a lot of movies
lately haven't.

I agree with ^^^ in a way this movie reminded me of "The Losers". An all star cast playing as soldiers of fortune, with a bunch of stuff blowing up and a lot of hype generated in the trailer. There really wasn't even much plot development into the characters personalities, let alone their background stories. Again it was just another disappointment movie, like most of the newest movies nowadays.

The plot never made any sense, I thought -- I would compare it with the last Rocky: 1 emotional scene as the justification for the movie, and then a bit of fighting to fill up the rest ShutUp.gif (Rocky's scene with Paulie in Rocky Balboa was the best emo scene in decades, I think)

Still, I enjoyed the fighting ohyeah.gif And Dolph Lundgren's movie career should get a nice boost from this one?
