Where and when would you go?

Always been fascinated by ancient Egypt since I was a kid myself.

What about you?

ohh man too many places to list:

1. Moscow-Russia, lots of family there not to mention I would love to see the Kremlin on new years

2. Munich-Germany, more family again and I just love to go there again since I was last there

3. Tokyo-japan, come on what computer junkie doesn't want to visit the technology capital of the world

4. Amsterdam, obvious reasons . . .

mine are imaginations lol cos i know i'll never have enough money to go to them, unless i marry a very rich man... now theres an even bigger imagination

if i could, i would also go to the moon or mars too... or also i can't remember the name of it in the film, but the big castle in the little mermaid where they all live :) i think that would be really cool especially to be a mermaid

If money and physics are no limitations I would love to explore beyond our solar system and learn what is out there among the stars, maybe explore a black hole, or watch a star go supernova. More realistic would be to visit Scotland, My family is from there and many still live there, but I have never been myself.

There are many wheres and whens I'd like to visit / live, and they chop and change according to my mood, so I'll just list one for now, and add to the thread with others as and when they occur to me.

I lived in Singapore as a young child back in the 50s, and through my innocent eyes, it seemed like heaven. I'd like to return to 1950s Singapore and see it from the vantage point of well-travelled adulthood. I fear my tender, rose-tinted memories would be shattered, however that's to be expected!

Another time / place I would love to experience is London in the 1920s.

People were stylish and outrageous.

They loved to party, and there was some great music around.

There was no such thing as "elf'n'safety", nor political correctness. Smoking was almost mandatory, as was quaffing copious amounts of Champagne and snorting long lines of cocaine.

Gentlemen were gentlemen, unless they wanted to risk being called a cad. (Oh, the shame... )

Traffic was almost nonexistent and cars were real cars, not fly-by-wire boxes stuffed with computer chips.

Mind you, if was was to visit that era, I'd want to be pretty well-heeled - not so much fun if you were broke!
