Full Version: Is There A Way To Seperately Download A Dts Audio Track ?

I dunno whether it may sound novice, but i would like to know whether there is a possibility of downloading a seperate DTS audio track and play it in VLC? If not possible then how do u covert ac3 or audio formats to DTS??

I was just reading that handbreak will convert ac3 to DTS I don't know if you have that if you don't someone will come along and point you in the right direction or if there is an easyer way i am sure they will tell you

By converting AC3 to DTS you are just getting the audio to run at a higher bitrate but IMO you aren't improving quality. If you have an MKV source that has DTS audio you can use MKVExtract to get the audio from the MKV.

NO! transcoding a 448kbps AC3 5.1 to dts 1,103 kbps.. the 448 is the standard in AC3 and the 1,103 is the lowest bitrate you can use in dts before it falls apart... i wouldn't do it myself!
