I nid some help on how to print a sticker cover on my DVD and CD disc.. and how to put SRT File when i burn a movie? Can anyone help me..

Hi,

do you mean put a label on the actual disc? If so i would recommend you avoid this, i used to do it, however the addition of a label changes the balance of the disc, i could burn two DVD's from the same source files, and in many cases the one with the label would not play in many DVD players, so i have stopped doing it.

Regarding SRT files, which programme are you using to burn your movies?

Wat i mean,, i want to have a cover my disc.. if possible, but if its not, i just named it..

I'm using Nero Express 10 but, i can't find it. co'z i want to watch my movies in dvd players with Subs.. Tnx anyways.. =)

Umm these days you can get printable discs but you do need a printer that can do this. I have a Cannon Ipixma 4000 "older one" then you can also print case covers etc. if that is what your on about?

If you're playing your movies in a stand alone DVD player then I'm thinking convertx2DVD might be able to recode the movie in DVD format (VOB files) and also put the subtitles in as an option. Recoding might reduce the quality of the movie however. I'm sure that one of our resident Convertx experts can confirm this. smile3.gif

Alternatively if your DVD player can also play avi files then you can hardcode to subs into the avi movie using Nero before burning it to a disk. In this case the subs will always be showing with the movie and no longer an optional item.

If you are talking about printing covers and cases, this does that as well as print directly to the disc with either ink or light scribe.

Print onto CD Sticker cover:

Is not a easy job to do but once you have master it, will be piece of cake.

1) buy the sticker label
2) Scan the sticker label and save as jPs (make sure you buy those CD stickers which have outline on it) see link below:
http://www.mediapackafrica.co.za/product.asp?P_ID=546
3) Use adobe program like Indesign or photoshop any program that you can import the cd sticker jps that you scan on state 2, make sure is A4 size page setup document.

4) Make final artwork of you cd cover design, make sure the design in with the cd outline area ( take a look link I give you)

5) Before you print onto cd delete the cd outline jps

I'm a little confuddled by your goals so here's my little addition...

I have to agree with maxsys printing to labels - don't do it. Mother had many problems with this and it was her friend at the BBC who told her about DVDs and their sentitivity to balance. Because of that we both bought an Epson R300 printer as we can print directly onto printable discs just like they're paper.

As for burning movies to DVD with subtitles - try ConvertXtoDVD. You can add more than one SRT file to this and I love it. It really is one of those simple "point and click" apps.

3rd recommendation to not use 3rd party labels on any optical media. if there is any air bubbles or creases in it, you can severely push the disc off balance that can damage it or the drive

lightscribe and printable media or the printer like Zeb said are going to be your best options

if you have a lightscribe capable drive, simply select lightscribe in nero 10 and you can build your label, then you just put the disc in upside down to "burn" onto the other side

Love printable disks. Have never used labels even before printables.

Sticky labels will jam up your optic drive after a while, what you need is LightScribe, found here :- http://www.lightscribe.co.uk/software.htm

Or go for Stonhenge's suggestion, found here :- http://213.155.27.24/forums/index.php?showt...=0#entry1837714
