Hopefully this one is beater then the previous if you get any errors please let me know asap, but you know what to do.
As before no install required just single .exe file.

What is different about this one is that all pages open in a tab with search results.

Also keep in mind that the speed of search depends on your Internet connection speed!



1. When you double click on the Torrent Search v2.0 icon the screen below will appear.



2. In the text box enter your search query and then hit enter key, or just point your mouse icon on to a search button and click. After that the screen below will appear. As you can see the only difference between the screens above and below is the little progress bar that appears beneath the search box. Ones that the progress bar loads fully the Torrent websites will appear with your results.



3. As you can see from the screen below there are many tabs and you can select each tab to view result, also you will notice a little arrow just above the first tab if you click on it will give you extra Torrent websites all in all 18 top Torrent websites.

Looks great codezero but when I unzipped it and clicked on torrentsearch 2.0 exe I got this message

I kind of expected this one suggestion would be to install the following:
"Visual Basic 6.0 SP5: Run-Time Redistribution Pack (vbrun60sp5.exe)" you can find this exe at the following url MS Run-times it is 100% legal and free. However I will upload the missing files and the description how to install them O.K. Thanks for the heads up.

Second thing you can do is download and install the missing control which can be found here and to install it follow these steps:
1. Unzip it and place it in your system folder. The system folder is usually C:\windows\system or C:\windows\system32 or c:\winnt\system for NT/2000/XP (each Operating System Varies). Don't forget to reboot.
2.Using your mouse, click on the "Start" button and then click on "Run".
3.Type the following command to register this library file: regsvr32
\windows\system\TABCTL32.OCX (for Windows NT/Xp/2000: regsvr32
\WINNT\system32\TABCTL32.OCX)
4.You should see a message saying "DllRegisterServer ... succeeded"
If you are getting an error telling you that the file is missing, then you are not
typing the command in correctly. You will need to key it in as follows:
regsvr32 \windows\system\TABCTL32.OCX
regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\TABCTL32.OCX (for Windows NT/Xp/2000)

If you are unable to register a Windows Library file manually with the regsvr32 command, you should be able to register them with the Microsoft VBRUN60.EXE tool. The one that is explained above.

I have a suggestion, could you put a pop up blocker in it, their quite annoying. but overall a nice program!

Don't think a pop up blocker is the answer to that one. One of the websites, pretty sure its myBittorrent, have implemented popups on their site. Is there an easy way to just remove that tab or direct it to a different site?

So myBittorrent is causing problems if so please let me know

I get 5 popups with IE when i do the search, nothing to intrusive but still anoying

FF is my default but im guessing that you use IE natively for ease of code

It seems that internet explorer is detecting code errors with in a page. Can you describe the pop up or post a screen shot or something like that

I have found that if you go to your Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab ->
Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer) Check the Box
and
Disable Script Debugging (Other) Check the Box

KillAV.FG is a Trojan that ends several processes belonging, among others, to security tools, and reduces the security when browsing through the Internet.

It also connects to a certain server, which allows it to access the affected computer remotely.

KillAV.FG does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs an attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer. The means of transmission used include, among others, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, email messages with attached files, Internet downloads, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, etc.

I just used the program and got 2 pop ups and then I check out this page and saw the req. for the screen shot so I reopened the program and did a search and got no pop ups. ??? It is a great program and I use it all the time!

First, I'm a total noob with this type of mod.. I too had the same error and had to install the Vbasic and update the library. However, I have MS XP Pro so there is no such directory as \winnt\system or \winnt\system32. But on my system there is a windows\system and a \windows\system32. The above instructions were not clear, especially since I have both directories. So, here is how I got it to work:

I installed Vbasic per Codezero's link.
Downloaded his zip with the TABCTL32.OCX file.
I chose \windows\system32 and pasted the TABCTL32.OCX
Open Run and typed regsvr32 \windows\system32\TABCTL32.OCX (which is different than both listed above. also, there IS a space between the 32 and the \)

Don't know if there is a difference between \system or \system32, but it Works like a champ.

Unless you performed an Upgrade Install to XP from an older OS, the system folder in XP will be:
C:\WINDOWS\system32

Only if you did an upgrade install will the sys folder be \winnt\system or system32

I would have used %system root%\WINDOWS\system32 but that confuses too many n00bs, so if your OS is using another drive letter other than C:, substitute whatever your drive letter is in place of C:;

To odinfish some people like to have some software which doesn't need to be installed like this one just run it from your portable drive. No browser logs just clean search each time. Light smart and easy to use when you wan it haw you want it.

im using something called torrent harvester.. i love it CUZ it uses 88 search engines and shows all results in 1 window... i can sort by seeds, peers and size of torrent... kinda good :D

Some feedback:

I run 2003 server. I received the same error as for tabctl32.OCX and mscomctl.OCX. I downloaded and registered tabctl32. Then, I had to download and install the M$ Visual Basic 6.0 Common Controls. But, install didn't work, so I extracted the files from the .exe using winrar, copied mscomctl.OCX to my \Windows\system32 and ran 'regsvr32 \Windows\system32\mscomctl.OCX' and your prog works.

I would like to see a full screen ability.

I am getting 2 errors when installing this program:

1. When launching:
Component 'TABCTL32.OCX' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

The appears even though I have installed the VB6 installation mentioned.

2. When I try registering the TABCTL32.OCX file:
The module 'tabctl32.ocx' was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x8002801c

OS: Vista Ultimate
This seems to be a rights issue with Vista even though I am an administrator on my machine.
