Be as specific as you can! Me, I love what you might call classic alternative rock, which encompasses a broad range of music I suppose - Velvet Underground, Talking Heads, Radiohead, Public Image, Gang of Four, Wire, etc etc. Gotta love it.

I also like classic rock (rolling stones, van hallen, lynyrd skynyer (i think), and the bettles/beegees in moderation :/)
and progressive (i think) rock (kansas is the band anyways...)

Beside, I listen mainly to progressive rock/metal like Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Dream Theater, Symphony X and rock like Cat Stevens or The Beatles (especially Magical Mystery Tour and Abbey Road)

I also like instrumental jazz, some blues and a even some pop (Gnarls Barkley, Gym Class Heroes, etc.)

In fact, the only music I really don't like are generic rock like Nickelback, Theory of a Dead Man, U2, some of Metallica, etc. and popular hiphop (akon, 50 cent, etc.)

Well it used to be rap but all this southern rap that is popular now a days I just can't stand it anyway I findmyself liking rock more and more

The Top 5 styles going on my mp3-player whenever I leave home:

1. Psychobilly - just for the raw coolness of it. :)
2. SKA - english 70-80s stuff. Not the american/russian things that flood that market today.
3. Dark D'n'B - well, Black Sun Emppire & Calyx and Teebee at least
4. Hard Rock - from back in the days pre -85. Blue Öyster Cult, Black Sabbath...
5. Industrial - Ministry (and sideprojects), Skinny Puppy (same there), KMFDM (guess what, same there).

Throw in some electro-jazz, synth, classical and you're starting to get a good picture of my musical preferences. :)
