Here I found a simple and easy tutorial how to make an animated avatar in less than 10mins, like I done it for myself yesterday:

Thanks alot....I just got photoshop and i don't have a clue....This really helps...If anyone else has anymore good links that help me get stared with CS 3 please reply....I am a newbie for photshop. so I have got to start at the beginning...

you can check out tutorialized.com, but you learn it the best way if you just figure it out yourself..

I only got into tring animation out on New Years. But Im pretty hooked on it. I find that we are only held back by the images we can find and our imaginations (and the kbs size lol) Its good to see more peeps trying it.

I agree with Chas, excellent. I am hungry for the knowledge of how to do graphics well and with interest. Photoshop is full of all sorts, and it is the knowing what to do with all of it. Sorry I do go on a bit.
