^^^ So who requested Ken's album "By Request Only" ?
For nostalgic reasons, I'd say
A Split-Second - Ballistic Statuesand
Skinny Puppy - The Greater Wrong Of The RightI've never seen it, and I can't remember the name of band or album, but I like the idea behind it: a [vinyl] album with a cover made out of sandpaper. The idea was, that the sandpaper cover would destroy the surrounding albums from the friction caused by customers lifting/sliding it back when checking through the albums in the shop-rack :a013:
Was it New Order's Blue Monday? I know they lost a fortune on the packaging of that one, even though it was their biggest hit.

It wasn't New Order's Blue Monday. The origional packaging was made out of a hard plastic, to make the album look like a floppy disc, the idea was that the vinyl would be visible through small openings on the plastic and look like the middle part of the disc, it was a really neat concept. Thing is, they lost near 10 cents every time they made one of those albums, so they changed the cover halfway through production. Let me see if I can find a picture, because coincidentally, "Blue Monday" is one of my two favorite album covers ever.
