Warcraft 2 on the Saga Saturn, I still have both machine and game today.
The original Command & Conquer series before EA got its filthy mitts on Westwood Studios were great too.
Today I think only Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War etc still have that same magic as the old RTS games.
madcat2179
by law (i kind of sold my soul to Blizzard in exchange for a level 99 necromancer) i'm required to say WoW

(i really do love tetrist the most.)
RenegadeDS
Ocarina of Time on the N64 for me.

No game has ever captured me like that, and literally been my every thought and dream from start to finish. Superb game.

Grand Theft Auto (all versions) is the best from my viewpoint. It has elements from driving games & first person shooters. Boats to use in most versions, later versions also have flying sim, bicycle & motorcycle. What more do you need? I have lately become addicted to Flatout2 racing online, it does have the one element missing from GTA that of competing with humans. I used to be addicted to Need for Speed, but after Hot Pursuit II, they lost the theme & started including too much strategy and chores. The original concept of raising hell on public streets with little more than a car & course selection was appealing, if I wanted to hunt Easter eggs, I'd play strategy games.

There is an unofficial "Multi-Theft" multiplayer version of Vice City, I believe, and maybe San Andreas too. Haven't tried it yet, though.

My all time favourite(s) has to be championship Manager 93, I started playing it back then, I stayed with it religiously till the spilt happened. Championshio Managers name was owned by EIDOS and the coding was owned by Sports interactive, the 2 companies brought out there games, EIDOS with champ man and SI with Football manager, I bought both and it was easy to tell who the brains of the game were as football manager was so much better, I wanted to stay loyal but I couldn't and then 2 years ago I stopped playing both all together. SHAME. I lost alot of my life playing those games and broke so many doors chairs and put loads of dents in walls, still they were good times.

I've been d/ling sp maps for Quake and Quake 2. Those games are soooo fun and there are hundreds of maps and TCs to choose from. I like the new FPSes like Crysis and Bioshock, but the old ones from the 90's are still fun as hell.

Best game(s) ever without a doubt are Shenmue I & II (Dreamcast), forget the crappy xbox dub, that was shocking. Those games still make the dreamcast the best console made to date.
