With great anticipation I watched "In the name of the King" over the weekend and what a waste of time that was. To make it worse, I'm into these type of movies - the fantasy medieval knight-in-shining-armour type of stuff so I really wanted to see this film.
Anyway, I only watched about 25 minutes or so and that was after I had to force myself to watch the the last 20 or so minutes of this time. The reason for it was two-fold, the first reason was the fight scenes; it was speeded up so it looked very unnatural (like those old 1920's type of silent movies where the movement of the people were a bit too fast). But that was OK. That was bearable, after all there is more to the storyline than just the fight scenes, so I turned a blind eye to that bit.
The thing that really ruined it for me was that constant and annoying music that kept on playing in the background; even during the characters' dialogue!

And that was the single most reason why I could not get myself to watch this film. The longer I watched the more it got on my nerves. So much so that you start loosing your concentration and not following the story. What a disappointment!!!
Anyone have similar experiences or any other reasons for ruining your expectations of a movie?

Seriously, along with everyone else in the theater, Cloverfield was the absolute worst movie I have ever seen. What, maybe Idiocracy, but anyways, it was almost like I was watching a badass movie, and it ended halfway through. I think the film producers were going to lose too much money to finish it so they just cut it off with a crappy ending and put it in theaters. It was only an hour long, and the ending ABSOLUTELY SUCKED. I was pissed the film company wasted my damn time and money. I wouldn't recommend paying for this one. Def download, watch it and we can express our anger together. haha

Meet The Spartans.
It had a few funny parts, and the constant "Spartans are gay" running gag was kinda funny, but overall, it was shit. Glad I went to see it with a free movie ticket, if I'd paid money, I woulda been irritated.
On the flip side, Strange Wilderness was a pretty good stupid-funny movie.

Past few day i watched a few dissapointing movies, Stardust being one of em. No country for old men didnt bring me what i expected. I gotta stop watching movies that rake in lots of oscar nominations, they tend to never live up to my expectations.
The Number 23 was kind of a bummer too, movie in itself isnt bad, but they picked Jim Carey for the lead part in this thriller, and for some reason you keep waiting for Carey to make one of his famous weird The Mask-faces.

Saw Be Kind, Rewind last night, I like Jack Black, but this was complete crap, it started out boring, i laughed a couple of times in the middle, then the end was pretty much a repeat of the beginning, and left wondering what happens to the place after? Yet the more I think about it, the more I really don't care.
I haven't been that bored at the cinema since seeing Miami Vice, and I go to the cinema a lot.
