Ok guys, just click the thumbnails to see full size.

first thing I did was to create a black to white gradient on 350 x 350 transparent layer and set the opacity to 50%

Then on another layer I created a gradient using these colours cb6a3f to f3e966

and set it to overlay so it looks like this.

On another layer I added and resized this excellent image (I don't know who the artist was but thank you biggrin.gif )

I then duplicated this layer setting the first one to Multiply

and the second one to Soft Light.

Now adding the Textures...

The one I used can be downloaded here.
http://resurgere.deviantart.com/art/Packag...ures-1-33363747

And I used this one out of that pack (well just the top left hand corner of it anyhow)

I've added this texture on a new layer, resized it, then duplicated it setting the first one to Multiply and the second to Overlay. You will note that I've lowered the Fill on the multiply layer to 55% because I thought it was a bit too dark.

The tear drops, on a new layer I have just using a small round hard brush painted on a black dot, zoomed right in then gone EDIT>>TRANSFORM>>WARP and adjusted the top two middle handles to give me that tear shape.

Then I've lowered the fill right down to 3% (so its nearly invisible) then applied these blending options at these settings

Drop Shadow

Inner Shadow

Inner Glow (this is actually black and servers as a secondary inner shadow)

Bevel and Emboss

Color Overlay
now on this I've set that blue colour (2235e9) to color dodge, you are probably better off not doing this and having it on normal with the colour you want on a low opacity

This layer I have set on normal.

I have then duplicated this layer to finally give me the purple colouring I wanted. (I'm in-effect using that color dodge again)
Again this layer set to normal.

And you seen the outcome in the other thread but here it is again.

Great tutorial mate. very easy for people to follow and the screen shots really make the difference. Making that gradient in the first place was a nice touch and that was what I was wondering about when I saw it the other day, so now I know.
Thanks for taking the time out to do this for us, I for one no how much effort go's into making tutorials so hat off to you mate.

Cheers,

Forgot to add that the link you gave is awesome and I am working on a stone bust of someone, we'll see if you will recognise him when it is done, will maybe use some of your techniques. cheers.

That is so COOL! I love that sort of things! I will try that one out!
