A few people have said Blood for Blood, they're great. Try out Ramallah too, it's the same guy from Blood for Blood. I've been going crazy for Bring me the Horizon. They're fucking amazing and brutal. Job for a Cowboy is the new heavy, def. for fans of the new and old schools. Someone already recommended Bury your Dead. Rodrigo and Gabriella play acoustic metal stuff, they blew me away. Maybe try the Dillenger Escape Plan or The End for some crazy mathmetal stuff. The Sword is cool if your looking for more of a classic ozzy style but not cheezy metal. If your into black metal nobody does it like Moonspell for me. Straightedge Hardcore try Earth Crisis but try not to punch someone in the face while listening. And if you've never heard of Primus disregard everything else and go buy Suck on This or Frizzle Fry.

Is this hardcore, or metalcore? Sounds more metalcore to me.

I am surprised about the Blood for Blood thing as well, still one of my all time favorite bands. Ramallah was ok, just didn;t get into it as much as Blood or Blood.
Bury your dead is ok, never really liked them that much. I think it was Dillinger Escape Plan that came out of my area, I just remember seeing them when they were still underground, you know in garages and basements.
I never heard of Earth Crisis and they are straightedge hardcore? (like from the 80's? or from now days?)
You check out Have Heart? They are some decent hardcore as well.

Looked through the list quickly & didn't notice any mention of Clutch.
"Strange Cousins from the West" is a great album, among all their others.
