Ok almost every music forum has that topic, it can be really interesting, and a good way to discover new stuff,
So I start,
Now listening to -->

Cire - Adrenological (2002) - 01 - Luca
Second album of the band Cire headed by Eric Johanson, lyrics are deep, voice nice & cotemplative, drums really interesting.
Cire is an alt\prog\rock band, even if for the moment johanson has changed of project & is now playing in Emptyself, which is a really great thing too.

I"m listening too, and have been for like an entire year now everyday... Streetlight Manifesto and their only album Everything Goes Numb. It has amazing lyrics and is by far the best music I have ever heard. It is third wave ska, and even if you don't like ska you would love it. Most amazing cd ever... wow

AFI-Sing The Sorrow (2003)

This was the major-label (DreamWorks) debut for AFI (A Fire Inside). The music is hauntingly beautiful, not exactly punk anymore...but I still like Davey Havoc

Hey fae, I was wondering if you heard the rumors that AFI was putting was going to make a techno album. I wasnt in love with sing the sorrow, but it was good, so Im intrested to see how it'll turn out.
Anyway, Im listening to Opeth - The Funeral Potrait from their album, Blackwater Park. Opeth is a combination of progressive and death metal, while trully going between many other genres. They are hard to desribe as music in the end is music. They get the darkness and beauty in the world and kind of fuse them to gether. I love this band and this album with a huge intesity and reccomend it it anyone (if they do not mind death vocals I guess)

I’ve been putting a fair bit of thought into this. And I think the band album that I have listened to the most this year is Maximo Park A Certain Trigger. Nominated for the Mercury Music Prize this year. I just like the sound of this it reminds me of the post punk new wave from the early 80’s but more polished Worth a listen IMHO

I will try to get Cire, I like prog and aways wanna hear new prog bands.
This week I am completely obsessed by the firt two albums of Queens of the Stone Age, my QOTSA CDs are getting holes :biggrin: ...Rated R and Songs for the Deaf
I am also hearding to Medesky, Martin and Wood, think they are very good musicians and very creative guys. If you like instrumental music, get it.
Another band that blew my mind off is a brazillian one - Cordel do Fogo Encantado. They are kind of mangue-beat-afro-progressive-acoustic-rock band. They are really awesome.
