Well I hear most people saying Nero is s**t because its so slow. The reason being that it makes the file bigger to take up the whole dvd and not to waste space.

Here is a quick little guide I made to help you speed it up slightly! drinks.gif

1. Open up Nero Vision. It should come up with a screen like so :

2. Hit DVD Video and add your video file. In my case it is Wanted (Thanks NikonXP)
It should look like this.

3. Move your cursor over and click the "More" button. The next screen should open :

4. Then move your cursor and click on the "Video Options" button. It should come up with something like :

Click on the DVD-Video tab and change the settings as highlighted. I used the 5.1 sound settings as I have a 5.1 setup. This is optional if you don't want to have 5.1

Click on OK and carry on how you normally would make the movie.

Enjoy!

i use Nero Vision, and i always manage to get 2 or 3 AVI's on to 1 normal dvd, i just select the fit to disk option. 3 AVI's take 50mins from start to finnish .... finnish = on dvd and watching it lol

Which Nero version is this. I can find no option such as you described? When I convert and burn a DVD in Nero 7 it takes at least 2 hours and I would really like to speed this process up. Or is my problem my computer? Thanks, Holyterror

^^^ It should work Nero 7 and 8.

I have added screenshots now! Hope this helps drinks.gif

Thanks, that does help a lot with the pictures. I had a inkling that what you were talking about was the quality setting. I will test it out. Thanks for being so great to share your knowledge with those of us that need just a little more patience and a little more head banging to get something to click. Thanks again, Holyterror
