Full Version: Guide To Activating Adobe Cs2 Products

In my experience with Adobe products, most work the same, as far as activation goes, so this guide should work for even non-CS2 products, but the keygen used may look different than the one used here. This guide is meant for Acrobat, Illustrator, GoLive, InDesign, and Photoshop.

First, you did "acquire" a copy of Adobe software in a "bad" way, correct? And it came with a keygen, correct? If you downloaded a trial version, this guide cannot help you, as the activation options are stripped from the software in those versions. If you didn't get a keygen, go find one first. If you are installing a CS2 version, it will likely be the same one pictured below.

First, open your keygen, and then begin installing your application. When you come to this screen, this is where you begin:

Click the top drop down arrow, (shown), and the list of CS2 apps the keygen will register are listed:

Select the app you are installing, (in this case it is InDesign), and click "Generate". This provides you with a serial number to install the product.

Next, copy the serial number into the space provided by your Adobe product and click "Next".

Setup will then proceed. (This is a good time to go to the bathroom, or pour yourself another gin and tonic. Or while your at it, pour me another, two ice cubes, no lime...)

When it finishes, launch the freshly installed program, and you will get an activation screen stating one of two things, either you have thirty days to continue using the product without activating, or you must activate now to continue using the product. It doesn't matter what it says, you'll be activating right now. It also doesn't matter if you are connected to the internet, as some apps will do. It sees I'm connected, but still isn't going to "call home". Click "Activation Options" at the bottom.

Click the circle next to "By telephone via the Automated Software Activation System". Then click "Next".

You'll then have the phone activation screen. Go to your keygen, and click the bottom drop down arrow, (shown), and again select your now-installed piece of software. Again, the choice in this example would be InDesign.

Now, we're getting close.
1. Copy the "Activation Number" from your phone activation screen into the "Request Code" section of your keygen.
2. Click "Generate".
3. Enter the "Answer Code" from your keygen into the "Authorization Code" boxes on the phone activation screen.
4. Click "Activate".

As you will now see, Adobe is smiling at you for doing such a fine job, as am I. Well done! But you're not finished yet...

You will get a registration screen next. Very simple:
1. Click "Do Not Register".
2. Click "Next".

Now you are finished! Enjoy testing out your fine piece of Adobe software for more than just the measly thirty days they give you. In fact, enjoy testing it until you are entirely sick of it, or forever, whichever may come sooner.

But first, go fetch me another drink, would you?
