rumor has it that M. Night Whatever will be doing Avitar The last airbender movie. now my kids love avitar and we watch it all the time, However MNS has almost never delivered with his movies so i really don't want to have any more time stolen from me by MNS by watching another one of his crappy movies let alone watch as he destroys one of my kids' favorite shows. what are your thoughts?

yeah i'd rather sit at home and watch a marathon on tv than to pay money to have time stolen...if i'm being entertained i'd be willing to spend money. if my kids are being entertained and quiet i'd cut off a finger

Awwwh, why you hatin'? MNS (I guess that's the trend so I'll stick with it) isn't THAT bad. You make it sound like he is worse than Uwe Bol. You have to give him SOME credit for Signs.
Cheers

bottom line: we all know MNS is probably the worst in history. but the last few posts (including mine) aren't about his next atrocious movie, the live action avitar. i for one will not take my kids to see it. it's bad enough he stole time from adults but i refuse to allow him to steal time (and my money) from my kids. and i say time and money because my kids like going to the theatre when a kids movie that looks good comes out.

I agree that MNS has a habbit of making crappy movies. I like the cartoons of the last airbender and when I heared that there was a movie coming I got really exited. But now that I know that MNS is doing it....well you guessed it. I think it is going to be dissapointing

Now, now this may just be his masterpiece, After all he's never done a true CBM. And I did enjoy that movie with gilbert grape killing people in the woods of Pa. I've been up on the trailers and it's not looking too shabby my son who still refuses to see the dragon ball movie has high hopes for it. And if it is a ten dollar steaming hot pot of disapointment, May he wind up with the Uwe Boll patition

I'd prefer that it stay a cartoon. Mark Hamil (Luke Skywalker) does the voice of the Fire Lord and Mako was Iro. It was a good show. And it is not anime. If you read or watch the interview with the creators, they say it is not anime.

hey he does have a odd sense.. however, the previews look incredible. And well he is starting with an amazing story. As a avid lover of all things kung fu he really can't go wrong.

figure he can always cover bad directing with great action sequences. ya never know... i will go see it though it has promise.

I think i'll see a free version of the movie, just to see how it works. Apparently, there is to be 3-4 movies, so.....
as far as trailers being misleading, take a gander at this:
