! Click the Magic wand ...or File>Create New Torrent





2 Click on Add directory ...or single file and browse to the materail you wish to torrent.



3 Add the trackers you wish to use, an easy way to do this is to copy and paste then from a text editor NOTE you leave a line between tracker groups , also I'm not 100% certain Microtorrent suports UDP trackers yet



4 Click create and save as

I'm prepared to admit though that creating multi announce torrents in micro toent is a whole lot easier.

I'm glad you have things sorteed out now ac30kev ...it's extremely frustrating to get messed about by the list sites.

C'mon, ABB. If you switch now, you might have everything migrated over by the time the Israelis and Palestinians finally acheive peace...

hey ABB, do you know anything about the new thing in the create new torrent window called 'web seeds' and ho to use it? And also what are udp trackers and how to add them to the torrent?

Hi Abb, i know this is a very old thread but was wondering if you could help, I've been downloading far too long now without giving anything back, bad i know but now i want to return the favour, ive got 1000's of gigs to share but need to know how to upload!
I understand all your directions on how to upload, APART from stage 3, where do i get the trackers from??, you say "Add the trackers you wish to use, an easy way to do this is to copy and paste then from a text editor NOTE you leave a line between tracker groups" but i dont know where these trackers come from, i am pretty well versed with the program itself so any directions you give me i should be able to follow well.

The announce URL's of the trackers can be found on the 'upload' page of the tracker site that you wish to use. (Demonoid, The Pirate Bay, Torrent box or whatever). Once you have created the torrent in your client, it is necessary to upload it to the site of who's tracker you are using in order for the torrent to work

so I made a torrent with utorrent. Now what do I do?

Upload it to the tracker that you used, and also to several list/dump sites to get a swarm going...if you have a description of your torrent saved as a notepad document, you can copy and paste it as you go. you can then post it here and attach the .torrent file to your post (I suggest you post in the 'my First torrent' sub-forum (click here)
This guide contains a link to a list of dump-sites - all the upload pages are roughly similar, with a few variations etc....on most of the sites you can upload without joining the site...although creating an account helps to keep track of your torrents etc.

So I think I may be over-thinking this. How do I find trackers? Can I just look at what some of my dl's are using and copy and paste to my new torrent? I just don't understand how to find trackers...
