Well the trailer's certainly impressive

I'm not, since I heard the the correct quote is "The whores and politicians will look up and shout save us, and I'll whisper no", but they decided on making it "the world will look up and shout save us, and I'll whisper no".

I hate when they do something like that.

And 300 was different, but not so good movie. Not really going crazy for this.

I too have high hopes for this one...however, V for Vendetta was disappointing (compared to the comic). Mr Moore wanted nothing to do with the finished product on that one. I hope he gets more of a say on this one. Watchmen is probably the best comic I've ever read (and I've re-read it many times) - it would be easy to 'spoil' unfortunately.

It's like with the movies Tim Burton does. He always nails the mood, but the lack of logic keep his movies from really being the best I've seen.

300 had the potential to be something new and good, but it ended up in being a pretty action movie. I'm afraid the same will happen with this one. They try to make a action movie with a really deep plot and great characters, only to get 1.5 hours of beautiful explosions.

Who knows, this is a PG13 trailer and the movie will be R, so maybe they just toned the line down for the trailer? The same with Dr Manhatten's penis, not in the trailer but apparently it will be in the movie.

As for Moore's involvement, he has nothing to do with hollywood anymore after they butchered LOEG. He has gone on record as saying he will never ever watch the movie. I pray he changes his mind because he could be cutting his nose off to spite his face. Dave Gibbons (the artist of the book) is fully involved in the production and is more than happy with it. Apparently he is trying to convince Moore of how good it is, whether he will succeed i dont know...

trailer is awesome but for those of you who have read the graphic novel their thinking about changing the end of the movie from the graphic novel ending.....which would be terrible
for those of you who havent read it.....read it it truly is amazing
