A long time ago...when pcs were big and I was a kiddo, I saw an anime movie.
As i was a kiddo - i couldn't read neither English nor Japanese title,so I do not recall it at all, but thanks to my almost photographic
memory I remember the movie in details.
The plot: It starts with a battle. A white haired bad guy with a European style sword is fighting a good guy (bad uses red aura, good uses blue aura) with a Japanese katana-like wooden sword (very sorry to be so silly but I do not recall the correct word for a katana-like bamboo sword). And good guy loses, but he transfers his spiritual power to that wooden sword before death and the sword falls down into the deepths of underground...
Later on the son of the good guy with a similar wooden sword goes to the city to kill the bad guy...meets a girl to save etc etc etc finds fathers's sword and eventually kills the bastard.
If anyone can tell the name of the movie - I would be very grateful!
