I am designing a magazine which is supposd to have 9 photographs on one A4 page with captions. its also supposed to be colorful. A masthead kind of title that with be the same on everypage along with pages numbers and a really colorful background. ten i have to send it to the prnter in "CMYK" format where black must appear as black and not a mixture of the four printer colors. i will use the same template throughout the magazine.

the magazine is an annual publication for a bunch of 1200 students. 13 to 18 years of age.

right now i have all the photos. and no creativity.

the last three magazines i made were commented to be dull .....despite using colors a lot.

i need assistance with tutorials, sites anything. please. i have three weeks for do this.

OK first off what is the photographic subject matter you are going to be using? devileek.gif Is it individual shots of people, happenings or events etc?
Do you have a theme in mind?

photos of groups of people. sports activities, events etc . the theme should have brown in it. the name of the organisation appears on every page. the heading of each page should be colorful as with the background,

better look some teen magazines for ideas & reference.. coz teens are your target market.. as for me any pictures well go along as long as you put your mind & creativity into it.. i suggest you use refreshing colors (tangerine, green, cyan & purple) & welcoming colors (green, yellow, orange & pink) its better to use adobe illustrator or indesign when it comes to magazine coz they are softwares specializes in that areas..
