As a kid i sued to watch tons of cartoons, heck whom i kidding - I still love them and watch them. However the stuff that comes now a days is all dubbed in Hindi which totally sucks and ruins it. I liked the old Japanese and American cartoons. My favourite included GI JOE (huge fan , cant wait for the movie ! ) Centurions , few others i cant remember. There is this one cartoon in particular that i absolutely adored but cant remember the name. After racking my brain for all memories i hit upon a name. It maybe Ninja Warriors. However i shall describe as much as i remember ..

The cartoon was most probably Japanese not American. It was a futuristic cartoon based in space. The characters were involved in a inter galactic war. The mother ship was in the shape of a dragon. There would be fights where the characters would command fighting robots (like the transformers , except they would not transform) There was this one special mysterious robot in that who would appear everytime the good guys would lose and run away before the battle was over. He/It would throw shiny star like objects to destroy the enemy robots..Well this is all i remember.
If anyone knows what i am talking about i would really really be happy

MAN!!! You've hit my heart! I remember the cartoon photographicaly! More to say actually the spaceship was last of a vanished race followed by some well...ofc dark forces. The main character was a guy (+ mates) who dreamed to become a real robot pilot and fought for the ship.
The mysterious robot was in fact bound to some special blade and later on passed to the main hero as well as the ship captain betrayed his people and took another such blade for dark side. As a result we got epic robot battles.
