Howdy Mazuki, converting first with Toast (about 6 hours) burning then (10 m) Toast too... Tried to download Visual hub, twice until I finally figured out they had discontinued it

would you like a good copy of visual hub? if you think it would help, i can get it to you no problem
it should not take that long to convert at all, are you running anything else while converting?

I use xilisoft video converter ultimate. That takes almost (2) hours, I have been using Windows DVD Maker- to burn and that takes at least (2-3) Hours. I just assumed that was normal....And my DSL connection takes a good (4) hours to download an .AVI (700meg).
There's an (8) hour day...no wonder I am always tired at work.
But I am self taught and tend to learn the hard way first!

Thanks Mazuki! No idea... you know I am blond, just wanted to try it since someone said that if I use VB for decoding and Toast for burning would make the "job" go faster.....what do you think. ? and thanks again! and no not running anything else....which is why I thought maybe I am doing something wrong...

you should be fine, just might be a problem with toast, before i go rooting through my chest of delectable treats, i must ask, is this with all movie files? or just a single one? have you tried different filetypes? (i.e. xvid AND mp4?)

Hi I canīt even call myself "self taught", I just follow the instructions of the experts here as a good girl should .... I am sure the Mac gods and goddesses of the Darkside can help you too....

while techspansion has discontinued codec support, their program still works, and if you want, you can update the codecs manually by placing them in the following folder
CODE
/Library/Application Support/Techspansion
i will have a copy of it 1.34 along with 1.07 of audialhub for you before the weeks end :) (read as within 7 days)

um, it's been more than a week... and I have a copy in my release list....
so Visual Hub is great for the DVD encoding... and Handbrake is great for the Decoding and ripping of movies...
let me know how all that is going... I see you made ghoul status before me, and that would suggest you DO have it figured out, but it always helps to ask.
